1st United States Cavalry

Who we are: The Washington Cavalry Association are people from all walks of life brought together by common passions, horses and history. Our members live in all parts of Washington State

We are mounted Cavalry and re enact the the American Civil War 1861-1865. We are living history re enactors that take history that you read about or see in the movies. And bring it to up close and personal through educational programs and reenactments thruout Washington state that show how the military and civilians lived, fought, and survived in this period of our nations history. Future plans for us include representing Cavalry in all periods of our great nation. Our past includes forming the 14th Virginia Cavalry CSA in Washington State which is still in operation. We also assisted American Civil War
re- enactors In France and Belgim who represent the 1st United States Cavalry and the 14th Virginia Cavalry CSA.

We represent the 1st United states Cavalry in Washington State and are associated with the Washington Civil War Association.
